I am trying to be a vendor at a flea market. They say they need gourmet peanut vendors. Can you tell me exactly what that entails and how do I cook these? Your help will greatly appreciated. I am already selling boiled peanuts. Also is there a good recipe for cajun boiled peanuts?

I’m thinking they’re just asking for any kind of peanuts other than salted or boiled peanuts. I saw a vendor at a fair recently that had peanuts that smelled like they were made with cinnamon sugar.
My grandmother used to make peanuts and boil them in sugar water and make candied peanuts out of them – they were great! You let them harden on wax paper.
You may also want to try a mix peanuts, pecans, pistachios, almonds — all kinds of nuts!! I think that’s what your flea market is looking for.
A nice treat would be to come up with a sweet and salty blend – some nuts that are super sweet mixed with some roasted with sea salt, maybe?
I know you’d have to watch your price point, since your market is not going to want to pay much, but you could come up with some really neat marketing tools and make yourself stand out. Check out for some neat ways to package up your nuts for retail sale – they do have food safe packaging. Also, at if you sign up for their email list they’ll send you peanut recipes.
Hope this helps!
